This includes all manner of projects from large-scale ground-up construction, down to additions and small-scale renovations. GENERAL CONTRACTING

General contracting is a service where we oversee and manage construction projects from start to finish. Our role encompasses various aspects, including planning, coordinating, budgeting, and supervising all stages of the construction process. Here’s an overview of what we typically provide:

CFISD HANCOCK ES RENOVATIONS
Two new classroom and administration additions and various interior renovations.
CFISD ANDRE & WALKER ES RENOVATIONS
Re-finish of entire Andre ES and kitchen addition, and re-segmentation of entire Walker ES and new roof overlay.
TOMBALL ISD AG SHOW ARENA
Renovate existing pre-engineered covered building into an Agricultural Show Arena, and minor renovations to open area of adjacent building to house animal pens and provide functionality for shows.

JOC/SPECIAL PROJECTS

Job Order Contracting (JOC) is a service we offer that streamlines the procurement and execution of construction projects for our clients, typically within a predefined period and budget. Here’s how it works:

It’s a collaborative process that emphasizes flexibility, transparency, and accountability, ultimately leading to successful project outcomes.

Clevalnd ISD South Annex Parking Facility
New parking facility comprised of 52 school bus parking lot, 122 staff parking spaces, and 10 van spaces. Striping, wheel stops, signage, & other markings, lighting poles, and electrical outlets.
SJC South Campus P9 Parking Lot Replacement
Removal of existing flexible pavement parking lot & replacement with new rigid pavement structure.
WISD Shultz JHS Improvements
Demolition and removal of existing structures in gymnasium. Installation of cold formed metal framing, fixed bleachers, mini roll up doors & projector screens. Renovations include paint, electrical, flooring, & wall tile.

SAFETY

The company has a strong commitment to an effective safety and accident prevention program, together with the moral and legal responsibilities of providing safe working conditions at all sites. This quality and safety process is dynamic, growing and changing as the industry grows and changes. As new standards and improved methods are developed, they are incorporated to address the specific needs of each project and the company as a whole; the company’s goal of being incident/injury free.

SAFETY FIRST

Safety is our priority. OSHA Safety Guidelines are executed and built upon for all employees and support personnel. Project Superintendents carry OSHA 30 certification to ensure a safe construction site.

QUALITY CONTROL

Quality Control enhances safety and acts to guarantee a project is delivered with detail ensuring an orderly jobsite through the schedule and a quicker turnover.

LOSS PREVENTION

The Safety Director and Project Management continuously review site conditions, planned work and other site activities in an ongoing attempt to reduce safety hazards, unsafe acts and at-risk behavior by all personnel.

SUBCONTRACTORS

MPS makes certain that subcontractors selected for a project recognize and accept their responsibility to perform safely. Determination of MPS involvement and control is based on the size and hazards of the subcontracted work.

Safety Certifications

The Millennium Safety Director is trained and certified to conduct employee/personnel safety training in all areas such as safety laws and regulations, evacuation procedures, hazardous condition monitoring, and use of safety equipment. All field employees are certified in areas such as:

  • Ladder Safety
  • Heavy Equipment
  • OSHA 30
  • OSHA 10
  • CPR/AED/ First Aid Adult & Infant

All personnel will comply with applicable standards including, but not limited to, the following:

 

  • Millennium Corporate Standards
  • Owner- quality and safety requirements
  • MPS Quality and Safety Reference Manual
  • Federal OSHA 1910, 1926
  • OSHA 30
  • CPR Certification
  • DOT (and others, applicable)
  • State-Safety/Labor Laws
  • Industry Standards- ANSI/ASME/API, etc.
